- Deliver business value by leveraging strong functional knowledge in Payment Processing platforms, including International Payments, Real-Time Payments, Cash & Liquidity Management, Compliance/AML, FX, SWIFT and ISO messaging, and clearing and settlement processes.
- Provide subject matter expertise in Corporate Payments, Correspondent Banking, and services for Indirect Participants.
- Interpret Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and lead requirement-gathering sessions through workshops, brainstorming, questionnaires, and stakeholder engagement, including Product Managers (both global and local), Client Services, Implementation, Operations, and Finance.
- Align functional requirements with payment engine capabilities and define solutions to meet payment processing needs.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and document them using standard project templates and artifacts.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis to assess business needs against the existing capabilities of the payment engine, and propose design solutions to bridge identified gaps.
- Perform defect triage by analyzing issues reported by QA teams and drive timely resolution of system defects.
- Define the scope and validate functional requirements within the broader context of the payment platform and end-to-end cash management processes.
- Offer Level 3 production support by diagnosing and resolving complex application issues and ensuring rapid recovery in critical payment-related incidents.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conduct user training sessions when required.
Payment Engine Analysis and Design
- Adhere to best practices in business analysis and engage stakeholders across front-to-back operations.
- Take ownership of functional analysis derived from business stakeholder, user, and technical team inputs.
- Manage requirements and evaluate solution design alternatives, guiding the team through decision-making.
- Analyze and recommend suitable IT solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Provide deep domain knowledge in cross-border payments to support the formulation of effective business solutions in collaboration with key sponsors.
- Ensure that delivered services align with the broader business strategy and contribute to its evolution.
- Evaluate the impact of change requests, unplanned initiatives, or technical constraints on project timelines and deliverables.
- Facilitate collaboration between user groups and interface teams to integrate various financial service components.
- Oversee stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, issue resolution, quality assurance, and project control measures.
Testing and Production Support for Domestic and Cross-Border Payments
- Collaborate closely with technical implementation teams to convert functional specifications into technical deliverables.
- Provide functional direction to developers, technical leads, and business analysts while addressing queries from contributing applications.
- Deliver Level 3 support for production issues by analyzing and validating incidents escalated from Level 1 and 2 support teams.
- Coordinate with technical and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
- Ensure system fixes are compatible with the continuous integration environment.
- Develop and execute test cases to verify the stability and reliability of applied fixes.
Qualifications and Profile
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in payment systems with a strong understanding of the payments landscape.
- Solid knowledge of domestic (RTGS) and cross-border payments (SWIFT MT and MX formats, including CBPR+).
- Comprehensive understanding of the cash management ecosystem from an end-to-end perspective.
- Proven experience in implementing payment engines, whether developed in-house or through third-party vendors.
- Comfortable working in complex systems and dynamic international environments.
- Well-versed in all phases of IT system development and implementation life cycles.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at presenting complex information in a clear and structured format.
- Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills for effective collaboration with development teams.
- Committed to delivering efficient, high-quality solutions within tight deadlines.
- Proactive communicator with fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Holds a Bachelors or Masters degree preferably in computer science, electronics, or related fields.
- Possesses excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Knowledgeable about software development methodologies and disciplined in following standard procedures.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum framework is a plus.
