Copyright & Privacy Statement
Singapore has enacted a Personal Data Protection Act (the “PDPA”) in January 2013 that came into full force on 2 July 2014. This piece of legislation regulates the way personal data can be collected, used and/or disclosed in Singapore. The GMP Group (“GMP”) is fully committed to the protection of all personal data it receives. GMP has put in place reasonable security procedures to prevent unauthorized access, use and disclosure. GMP’s privacy policies are set out below.

Personal data covers any information about an individual who can be identified from the information submitted. This would cover information which is personal to the candidate such as the name, telephone numbers, address, email address, employment history, educational qualifications and background, other information from the resume and any other information which the candidate may provide to GMP.
Collection of Personal Data
Personal data may be collected via a candidate’s application or resume. Personal data may also be collected when the candidate corresponds with GMP’s recruiters by email, facsimile, letter, telephone or when the candidate visits GMP’s website.
Purposes for Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Data
GMP collects, uses and discloses the candidate’s personal data for the following purposes:
- To match the candidate with prospective employers;
- To send the candidate’s personal data to the prospective employer;
- To provide the candidate with updates;
- To communicate with the candidate generally in relation to the candidate’s application;
- To do market research, candidate profiling and statistical surveys;
- Purposes which are reasonably related to the above or to enable GMP to render its services to the candidate; and
- Where legally bound to do so, to disclose the personal data to the relevant authorities.
Consent to Use and Disclose of Personal Data
By providing his/her personal data to GMP, the candidate consents to GMP using his/her personal data for the purposes stated above. The candidate also consents to GMP disclosing his/her personal data to GMP’s clients and to third parties whom GMP deems necessary to work with in order to find suitable employment for the candidate. When sharing the candidate’s personal data with GMP’s clients and third parties, GMP will require them to keep the personal data confidential and secure. In providing the personal data to GMP, the candidate also consents to GMP disclosing his/her personal data to parties in other jurisdictions which may not have similar data protection laws to Singapore.
Withdrawal of Consent
The candidate may withdraw his/her consent to the use of his/her personal data at any time by informing GMP via email. If consent is withdrawn, GMP may not be in a position to continue to provide its services to the candidate.
Accuracy of Personal Data
The personal data provided to GMP by the candidate should be true, accurate and complete at all times. GMP takes a serious view of candidates who provide false information about themselves and if discovered, GMP shall not hesitate to hand over the matter to its lawyers and/or the relevant authorities.
The candidate shall update GMP in a timely manner of any changes to his/her Personal Data by updating via the online career portal (on the GMP website) to ensure the accuracy of personal data that is retained by GMP.
