Responsibilities
- Develop and implement test strategies and plans, define the scope, objectives, and deliverables, allocate resources, and estimate effort, timelines, and costs for testing activities.
- Lead and manage internal and external testing teams, assign tasks based on expertise, mentor team members to improve performance, and foster a collaborative and productive environment.
- Define, implement, and enforce testing processes, standards, and best practices, continuously improving them to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Plan and manage test environments and data requirements, oversee the execution of various test cases, ensure alignment with project requirements and timelines, and track and resolve defects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for testing-related matters, communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, and provide regular status reports and metrics to senior management.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate testing risks, develop contingency plans for critical scenarios, and ensure that risks are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Promote the use of test automation for improved efficiency and coverage, and collaborate with the Automation Test team to oversee the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.
- Ensure testing activities align with organizational quality standards, conduct root cause analysis of defects, implement preventive measures, and foster a culture of quality and accountability.
- Manage the testing budget, optimize resource utilization for cost-effective testing, and plan for future resource needs based on project pipelines and organizational growth.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to track testing activities and KPIs, and use data-driven insights to improve testing processes and outcomes.
- Ensure all testing activities are documented and auditable, maintain a repository of test artifacts, and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements, particularly around data security.
Requirements:
- Over 10 years of experience in software testing, including a minimum of 5 years in a Test Manager role, overseeing the full lifecycle of testing activities.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale digital banking and financial services projects, particularly those involving internet or mobile banking platforms for corporate and institutional clients.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with preferred certifications including ISTQB Advanced Level, PMP, or Agile.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with substantial experience leading multi-vendor, geographically distributed testing teams.
- Extensive knowledge of software testing methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps, with a strong emphasis on Waterfall, and proficiency in test management tools such as JIRA.
- Preferred experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, ARIOS, or UFT to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
