Responsibilities
- The safe navigation, maintenance, marine and cargo operations, and supervision of marine personnel on-board the facility always including dry-docking.
- All offtake operations including the berthing and disconnection of the offtake tanker, cargo transfer and documentation.
- Ensuring that the requirements and procedures in the Safety Assurance Management System (SAMS) are implemented and maintained.
- Managing the human resources available to the marine group so as to maintain a flexible and efficient work culture.
- Fulfilling the risk management requirements by ensuring all risks in the marine operations are identified and procedures are established and implemented.
- Assist the OIM, in conjunction with other department heads, in the management of the Facility budget, preparation of accounts and financial reports, control costs and authorizes expenditures
- Administration and supervision of the Marine department.
- Provide guidance to all marine and crews in matters pertaining to the safe operating of the facility.
- Is deemed by position to ensure that compliance to the company SAMS is followed.
- Responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel during transit voyage.
- Ensure the Facility has adequate and up to date navigational data and publications.
- Ensure marine operations are conducted in accordance with the flag, class, coastal state, Owners, and client’s requirements as agreed.
- Ensure the status of all certification is always available.
Requirements
- Possess at least with 12 years of relevant work experience.
- Higher National Diploma / Diploma level in Merchant Marine / Engineering and/or production trade certificate or other relevant qualification.
- Experience in berthing and un-berthing large vessels at offshore moorings preferred.
- CERTIFICATION/ LICENCE GUIDELINE:
- 1st Class Masters or equivalent with Tanker Endorsement and GMDSS Operators Certificate.

- BOSIET / BOSIET-T as applicable.
