LNG Structuring Analyst/Advisor

Key Responsibilities 

  • Proactively seek out key developments in the global natural gas, LNG and LNG shipping industry including contract structure and commercial parameters through independent research and networking with internal and external contacts. Act as the main conduit to effectively and timely centralize and distribute pertinent market information. 
  • Take ownership of internal and market-based assessments of operational and economic parameters and maintain proficiency in valuing LNG commodity and LNG shipping related contractual and operational features and/or flexibilities.
  • Utilize expert spreadsheet and programming skills to develop and standardize deal and portfolio valuation methodologies and models for pricing and risk assessment of complex contracts. Identify and properly account for value drivers (portfolio synergy, option values and others) and risks inherent in the transactions (market, project, credit, regulatory, financing and others). 
  • Collaborate with originators and traders to develop value-accretive deal structures. Support the growth and optimization of the global LNG portfolio through the application of portfolio theories, option analysis, pricing models to value complex structured transactions. 
  • Build and strengthen working relationship with corporate approval and functional reviewers to facilitate the deal validation and approval as a core part of the origination team. 
  • Work with the Analytics Team to review market supply/demand and apply this data along with other market information to set pricing outlook in the long term.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in related discipline (e.g. engineering and numerate degrees in science, economics, finance or business)
  • Strong integrity and work ethics
  • Team player with a collaborative and inclusive mindset
  • Comfortable dealing with fluid commercial situations, staying agile, resolving conflicts professionally, and working with a very international setting
  • Take initiatives and pay attention to details
  • Willingness to travel as required
