Job Description
This position shall ensure that building projects remain within budget to provide cost and material estimates and advice, draw up projected budgets, monitor budget, and work alongside a team, noting any design changes and their effect on cost. Quantity surveyors often liaise with builders, architects, engineers, external quantity surveyors and others.
1) Vendor Sourcing (Liaison with Procurement)
- Vendor Sourcing and Maintaining Vendor List by assisting Procurement
- Providing Quantities and all technical requirement to Procurement
2) Quantity Surveying & Cost Estimate
- Preparation of Cost Appraisals for Feasibility Studies
- Measurements and Preparations of BOQs
- Preparation of Cost Data and assisting in Cost Plan preparation
- Leads in Value Engineering Exercise for alternative materials and construction methods.
- Working with team and related department/ QS Consultant / Consultants in providing best option for projects
- Identify and communicate potential problems with related departments.
3) Tender Management & Contract (Including liaison with external QSs)
- Lead/Assisting in Tender Preparation and Tender Management
- Lead/Assisting in preparation of Contract Documents
4) Post Contract Management (Including liaison with external QSs)
- Prepare and update project budget and actual costs.
- Update Tender Timeline and Cash flow projections.
- To prepare all Variation Orders claims and to review External QS Consultants VO Claims Evaluation and Assessment and their Financial Statements.
- Post Contract administration and final accounts settlement
- Price Comparison and Analysis
5) Others
- Familiar and have good understanding on Quantity Surveying process
- Drafting and Preparation of Services Agreements of Consultants
- Drafting and Preparation of Actual Cost vs Budget.
- Good initiative and able to work with Teams of different department.
- To attend progress and technical meetings including all cost and technical internal meetings.
- Be independent and mature in your works and characters.
- To have proper time management at all aspects.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveyor, Construction Economics, Building, Construction
- Management or Civil Engineering with more than 15 years of experience
- Experience in Singapore and Batam / Riau Islands projects
- Skills required: Electronic Measurement (CADD, Cost X and Gloden)
