Roles & Responsibilities

(A) Job Summary:

The Tender Quantity Surveyor is responsible for preparing cost estimates and tender submissions for construction projects. This role involves quantity take-offs, pricing, and coordination with internal teams and suppliers to ensure competitive and accurate tender proposals.

(B) Essential Job Functions:

The Tender Quantity Surveyor is responsible, but not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications
  • Analyse tender documents and identify scope of works
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Assist in preparing complete tender submissions including pricing and technical documents
  • Conduct rate analysis for materials, labour, and plant
  • Liaise with project teams, engineers, and procurement for pricing accuracy
  • Maintain tender documentation and cost databases
  • Attend tender briefings, site visits, and post-tender clarifications when required
  • Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the reporting manager

(C) Minimum Qualifications / Job Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil, or related field
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in tendering or pre-contract quantity surveying.
  • Hardworking, meticulous, and committed to assigned task
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player who possesses good communication skills
