Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and assist in the preparation and compilation of the agreements i.e., non-disclosure agreements, major construction tenders, professional service agreements and standard industry forms of conditions of contract such as RDAS, SIA, PSSCOC, FIDIC Silver Book, FIDIC Yellow Book, and other form of conditions of contract including appropriate risk mitigation;
- Maintain and assist in the preparation and compilation of contract documents (both main and subcontract);
- Assist in negotiations with counterparties (if any);
- Participate in mitigation processes in line with overall standard operating procedures of the organisation;
- Attend and participate in department and group meetings, staying current on department and group projects, goals and issues;
- Proactively collaborate with internal team members and other Boustead’s operational groups and internal stakeholders to share and implement best practices, playbooks, policies and procedures, contract templates etc;
- Assist in providing internal stakeholders with information regarding department processes, procedures and contract development as requested, including development and presentation of training materials;
- Create and/or adhere to contract and document tracking requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop close working relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external contacts at all levels;
- Demonstrated the ability to maintain problem-solving approach in collaboration with internal and external contacts;
- Demonstrated presentation skills;
- Strong organizational skills; able to organize and follow through with projects; ability to efficiently handle large volume of contracts;
- Meticulous with an eye for detail;
- Conversant with Microsoft Office, One Drive, Microsoft Team, Adobe.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree related to Quantity Surveying (major in Mechanical and/or Electrical) or equivalent;
- Candidates with a Chartered Surveyor accreditation from a recognized institution or association (i.e. RICS, AIQS) are strongly preferred;
- Primarily in construction of semi-conductor and/or data center projects.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in comparable role in a construction consultancy firm i.e. QS consultancy companies, expert witness, law firm;
- Strong contract administration and negotiation skills in a variety of different agreement types;
- Familiar with claims and SOP Act;
- Occasional travel.
