Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming material inspection and/or verification of line fallout in a timely manner.
  • Make required quality decisions, decide if a corrective action is warranted and to communicate with Supplier Quality Engineer and Buyers.
  • Sample materials using documented sampling plans and procedures.
  • Physical inspection of materials using tools including but not limited to micrometer, calipers and feeler gauges.
  • To maintain IQC tool calibration status and inventory control of IQC labels; to raise requisition order where needed.
  • Perform visual inspection to distinguish any discrepancy/ difference in a color, shape and texture of the material.
  • To perform data recording into SAP system; to initiate necessary documentation, follow-up with all inspection and necessary disposition function.
  • To perform statistics recording, on the quality status of incoming material.
  • Assist internal interested parties in obtaining information.
  • Monitor cleanroom critical supplies and laundry data provided by suppliers.
  • Review of all relevant data entry into SAP QM system and monitor SPC chart trends for any improvement.
  • Support documentation activities (document posting, extraction of data, etc.) as and when required.
  • Conduct Quarterly cross-check of chemical supplier performance.
  • Comply with safety rules and regulations during course of duties.
  • Support continuous improvement activities.



Job Requirements:

  • Able to understand written instructions such as procedures, specifications and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of industry safety guideline/practices pertaining to chemicals and handling of hazardous materials and record/identification requirements.
  • Able to perform material inspection while complying to proper handling techniques to preserve cleanliness and integrity of material.
  • Able to effectively communicate in a variety of modes and media; to reliably convey information (oral, written or visual).
  • Working knowledge in standard personal computer (PC) operation is required. Software skill in Microsoft word and excel is required. Ability to apply statistics and construct SPC charts is a plus.
  • Familiarity with operation and care of precision measurement equipment.
  • Data collection and analysis techniques.
  • Use of quality measurement tools such as dial gauge, vernier calipers and admin tasks such as data recording.
  • Past work experience in Quality inspection role is a plus.
