Job Scope
- Lead and coordinate production associates to achieve production targets while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
- Monitor product quality during production and promptly escalate production or quality issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Conduct daily team briefings and prepare production performance reports.
- Perform and oversee assembly operations involving complex components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies across multiple production areas.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation initiatives.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and new model implementation activities.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operating effectively.
- Train, coach, and guide associates on production processes, operational procedures, and best practices.
- Support onboarding, training, and development of new employees and junior team leaders.
- Promote a positive work culture by acting as a role model and demonstrating professional conduct.
- Support cross-training initiatives across different production areas to enhance workforce flexibility.
- Monitor attendance and assist supervisors with workforce planning and manpower coordination.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of company policies, processes, and operational procedures.
- Support probation reviews and training assessments for new hires.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and report safety concerns, incidents, and improvement opportunities.
- Investigate and escalate production-related issues in a timely manner and recommend corrective actions.
- Facilitate effective communication between production associates, supervisors, and management.
- Provide support to other production areas and departments as required.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
- Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to 5S standards to ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Work on rotating shifts as required (mandatory).
Requirement
- Minimum 2–3 years of Team Leader experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Minimum secondary school education, technical certification, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of production monitoring and ISO documentation requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving, reporting, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with manpower planning and production line balancing.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to perform manual handling tasks when required.
- Good command of English as the working language.
