Business Analyst (Process Improvement, Automation & AI)

Responsibilities

  • Engage department stakeholders to understand existing workflows, pain points, and business objectives through interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs.
  • Document current-state (“As-Is”) and future-state (“To-Be”) processes, ensuring requirements are captured clearly and comprehensively, with a focus on process simplification, standardisation, and automation opportunities.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for automation, digitalisation, and AI enablement by assessing the suitability of tasks and processes for automation, AI assistance, system integration (e.g. SAP), or manual execution.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business departments and IT teams, translating business requirements into functional requirements and ensuring delivered solutions meet user expectations.
  • Prepare process maps, requirement specifications, user stories, and supporting documentation.
  • Support the testing, validation, and rollout of automation and AI solutions by gathering user feedback and driving user adoption.
  • Maintain documentation of processes, requirements, and improvement initiatives for ongoing reference.
  • Contribute to a shared repository of reusable automation use cases, templates, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with regional stakeholders and offshore delivery teams to support cross-functional initiatives.


Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in business analysis, IT systems integration, or process improvement.
  • Strong IT foundation with a good understanding of business processes, system interactions, ERP platforms (e.g. SAP), data flows, and APIs. Experience in Finance, Operations, or Trading environments will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively bridge business and technical teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies, redesign processes, and document requirements clearly and concisely.
  • Comfortable working in a regional, multi-country environment and collaborating with offshore delivery teams.
  • Familiarity with automation and AI technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio), RPA platforms, SAP processes/modules (FI/CO/MM/SD), and data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau will be an advantage.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP/CCBA) or relevant Microsoft/automation credentials, as well as knowledge of security, data privacy, and AI governance principles, will be an advantage.
