- Manage and operate platform services within a tenant environment above the hypervisor layer.
- Ensure the reliability, security, availability, and operational readiness of container platforms and enterprise COTS solutions, including MongoDB, NGINX, MQTT, IBM MQ, ArcGIS, and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Operations & Administration
- Administer, monitor, and maintain platform services, including container platforms, middleware, databases, messaging systems, and runtime components.
- Provide Day 2 operational support, including incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution.
- Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain operating systems (RHEL and Windows Server) and platform software.
- Optimize platform performance through tuning, capacity planning, and resource management.
- Perform backup, recovery, and restoration of platform services and COTS applications.
- Maintain service availability and operational readiness across Development, Test, Staging, and Production environments.
Container Platform & COTS Administration
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and patch container platforms and runtimes, including Kubernetes, Podman, and Docker.

Install, administer, and support enterprise COTS solutions, including:
- MongoDB
- Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
- NGINX
- Apache HTTP Server
- IBM MQ
- MQTT Brokers
- Apache Kafka
- ArcGIS
- Keycloak
Security & Compliance
- Implement infrastructure hardening in accordance with CIS Benchmarks and Singapore Government security standards.
- Manage user access, authentication, and authorization in compliance with organizational security policies.
- Support IT governance, regulatory compliance, security audits, and risk assessments.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, validation, and execution activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Application, DevOps, Security, and AFE teams to resolve platform-related issues.
- Coordinate with infrastructure providers and vendors to troubleshoot network, firewall, load balancer, and connectivity issues.
- Support onboarding, deployment, and integration of new applications and platform services.
- Contribute to technical reviews, operational improvements, and service enhancement initiatives.
Platform Maintenance & Lifecycle Management
- Plan, test, and deploy platform patches, middleware updates, security fixes, and version upgrades.
- Perform platform lifecycle management to maintain supported and secure environments.
- Execute infrastructure changes in accordance with approved change management processes.
- Develop rollback and contingency plans to ensure operational continuity during major changes.
Monitoring, Observability & Reliability
- Configure and maintain platform monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
- Continuously monitor platform health, performance, resource utilization, and service availability.
- Analyze trends to proactively identify performance bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and reliability risks.
- Support centralized logging and diagnostics to facilitate efficient troubleshooting.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date SOPs, infrastructure documentation, maintenance records, and change logs.
- Prepare operational reports covering system performance, capacity utilization, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities and operational improvements to enhance platform reliability and efficiency.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Relevant certifications are advantageous, including:
- RHCSA / RHCE (Red Hat)
- MongoDB Administrator
- VMware VCP
Experience & Technical Skills
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure administration, platform operations, or systems support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), VMware, enterprise servers, storage, and networking.
- Hands-on experience with backup and recovery solutions, firewalls, and enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Experience with DevOps and automation tools, including Ansible and GitLab.
- Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Proven experience deploying and supporting enterprise COTS solutions, including MongoDB, NGINX, Apache HTTP Server, IBM MQ, ArcGIS, CI/CD platforms, and related technologies.
- Good understanding of ITIL practices, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
- Experience in pre-sales activities or tender preparation is an added advantage.
