Our client is a well known Shipping Brand. Currently they are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join them as ” Assistant Manager (Line/Trade Management) “.
In this role, your key responsibilities will involve the following areas :
- Daily operational aspect including monitoring vessel movement at sea and vessel activities when in port. This includes close liaison with overseas agents as well
- Space control including over-booking management; cargo selections and fixed slot customer excess request
- Update vessel position for own operated ship and partners vessel. Disseminating revised schedule to internal and key clients
- Close monitoring of daily bunker consumption via use of the system and ensure vessel consumption is in line with Time Charter Description (TCD) and cross check against other sister ships previously operated in the trade or region
- Monitor and review bunker survey report of individual stem and confirm that reported quantities are in line with masters reported ROB
- For the level of Assistant Manager, he or she can be assigned a third party independent service from time to time
- Manage daily correspondence with regards to vessel schedule, space management & pricing with internal and external parties
- Preparation of weekly flash
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in maritime business or business management
- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in shipping line involving in trade
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues across departments and various internal & external stakeholders
- Overseas travel and/or after office hours work and travel may be required
- Independent and result oriented
- Strategic thinker
- Ability to focus on tasks and analyses situations, systems, and problems
- Ability to make quick decisions supported by information and data gathered
- Able to work in fast paced and dynamic environment
- Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written
