Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and thought leadership across data access and ingestion, processing, integration, modeling, database design, visualization, and advanced analytics to guide internal teams in building robust Azure Data Warehouses, Databricks solutions, data pipelines, and Power BI reports.
- Leverage Microsoft Azure Data and Analytics Services to assess current practices, identify business opportunities, and define a comprehensive migration plan for on-premises systems, including methodology, data requirements, and compliance strategies.
- Collaborate with project managers to estimate technical tasks, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
- Define and promote best practices for cloud-based data warehousing and ETL, including reusable code, libraries, patterns, naming conventions, and scalable development frameworks.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Banking and Finance, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in Data Warehousing, Analytics, Real-time Integration, and Business Intelligence, including 3+ years in a Data or Solution Architect role and 2+ years leading technical teams in Azure Data Platform implementations, candidate with working experience in financial sector technologies is a plus.
- Strong understanding of both traditional and modern data architecture and processing concepts such as SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and business analytics, with proven proficiency in Databricks.
- Hands-on experience with Azure database platforms (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Gen2), Azure data integration tools (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hub), data visualization tools (e.g., QlikView, Power BI), and programming languages such as R and Python.
- Demonstrated architectural expertise in integrating structured and unstructured data sources with visualization layers.
