Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the direct reporting manager to all Project Management personnel in the company
  • Oversee headcount / budgetary planning for the Project Management department.
  • Oversee Project Management resources to enforce compliance to QA / H&S requirements
  • Oversee and enforce the timely issuance of design drawings for subcontractor tender.
  • Attend the respective site meetings as and when required.
  • Justify provisions for individual projects, as well as deviations in the cost reports
  • Conduct Client design kick-off meetings for all projects and subsequently, monitor such follow-on meetings.
  • Conduct internal design meetings for all projects and subsequently, monitor such follow-on meetings.
  • Co-chair pre-construction meetings with Business Development and Operations for all projects.
  • Provide all project updates to the Deputy Managing Director
  • Sign-off cost reports,  subcontractor awards recommendation, subcontractor progress claim certificates recommendation
  • Defect rectification progress, particularly during the handover / final statement claim stage;
  • Any legal claims from the Client or subcontractor;
  • Maintaining relationships with the Client;
  • Maintaining relationships with relevant authority officers

Job Requirements

  • Professional Construction Qualifications relevant to the role (BSc or MSc in Project Management or Building / Construction Studies or Engineering)
  • Have a related Chartership such as CIOB
  • Pre-construction experience
  • Experience in BIM / Conject
  • An in depth knowledge of the construction process and construction methods
  • Proven track record of delivering successful construction projects
  • Knowledge of current construction laws, legislations, and regulations, standards and procedures
  • Experience of project planning and resource allocation & managing design teams
