Our client is a well established shipping brand. Currently, they are seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join them as “Finance Executive (Liner Shipping)”.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following :
- Handling day-to-day accounting operations of the organisation which include preparing and maintaining financial records, managing invoices and ensuring the accuracy of financial data
- Working closely with other members of the finance team to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- General Ledger Maintenance
- Cash flow management
- Banking relationship management
- Agency Statement of Account
- Staff expense claims
- Financial reporting
- Tax compliance
- Internal controls and audit support
- Financial data accuracy
- Vendor management
- Financial systems & software
Requirements:
- Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degreein Accounting, Finance or related field
- Ideally 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the shipping industry
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on AP, AR and GL management
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial reporting tools
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
- Problem solving skills and good ability to work in a fast paced environment
