Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and drive the company’s medium- to long-term strategy aligned with the client’s IT direction.
  • Translate strategic priorities into measurable goals, performance frameworks, and annual operating plans.
  • Lead execution of growth initiatives and organizational objectives.

Corporate Governance & Control Functions

  • Strengthen finance, HR, compliance, legal, and governance frameworks to support the delivery of the IT agenda.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, cost management, and performance monitoring.
  • Establish operational benchmarks, workforce planning, and capability development strategies.
  • Guide HR policies, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure legal, regulatory, and compliance risks are effectively managed.

Technology & Operations Management

  • Provide strategic oversight of system development, IT operations, and service delivery.
  • Ensure delivery of technology solutions that meet business and operational requirements.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration through effective governance and performance management practices.
  • Oversee project planning, governance, and execution of key technology initiatives.
  • Lead cost optimization and digital transformation efforts in partnership with senior management.

People & Culture

  • Foster a high-performance, values-driven culture across the organization.
  • Lead and develop the senior leadership team to achieve strategic priorities.
  • Coach and mentor senior leaders while supporting succession planning for critical roles.
  • Ensure managers are equipped with the resources and capabilities to lead effectively.
  • Oversee recruitment, development, performance reviews, promotions, compensation, and bonus decisions.
  • Promote continuous learning and future-ready digital capabilities across the workforce.

Senior Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across headquarters, regional offices, and client organizations.
  • Influence and align stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
  • Provide executive oversight of cross-functional programs to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Finance, Science, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience within the banking or financial services industry.
  • At least 10 years in a regional leadership and strategic planning capacity.
  • Proven experience managing large, multi-level teams of 200+ employees.
  • International exposure with experience working across multiple overseas markets.
  • Strong track record managing large-scale banking technology programs valued above SGD100 million.
  • Hands-on knowledge of core banking systems, including Accounting, Remittance, Forex, Money Market, GL, and MIS.
  • Preferably possesses end-to-end experience overseeing both IT and Operations functions within financial institutions.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, change management, service delivery, project governance, and vendor management.
  • Strong knowledge of Finance, HR, Compliance, and other corporate control functions.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, presentation, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across diverse workforce groups and Asia markets.
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese preferred, with the ability to prepare reports and present to senior stakeholders who mainly communicate in Japanese.
