Key Responsibilities:

• Support procurement activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from initial prototype/build stage through production transfer.
• Work closely with Program, Engineering, Material Planning, Sourcing and Commodity teams to support NPI material requirements and project schedules.
• Source and purchase electronic, mechanical and other manufacturing components required for NPI builds.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, lead time and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Expedite materials and closely follow up with suppliers to meet NPI build schedules.
• Identify material shortages, supply risks and long-lead-time components, and drive appropriate mitigation actions.
• Manage purchase orders, delivery commitments and supplier performance.
• Support the transition of materials and purchasing activities from NPI to mass production.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and material information in the ERP system.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree Certificate in relevant disciplines
• Preferably 3–5 years of purchasing/buyer experience in the EMS/electronics manufacturing industry. 
• Purchasing experience in a high mix / low volume environment, preferably in EMS.
