Operations Executive (Bunker/ Cargo/Tanker )

Our client is a reputable Shipping MNC. In view of expansion, they are currently seeking a suitably qualified candidate to join them as “Operations Executive”.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following :

  • Coordinate daily bunker operations and vessel schedules.
  • Liaise with vessel masters, barge operators, surveyors, suppliers, and port authorities on bunker delivery arrangements.
  • Monitor bunker loading and discharging activities to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Prepare and verify operational documents including:
    • Bunker Delivery Notes (BDN)
    • Cargo documents
    • Delivery reports
    • Port documentation
    • Statements of Facts (SOF)
  • Track vessel movements and update customers on operational status.
  • Ensure accurate recording of cargo quantities, fuel transfers, and inventory movements.
  • Conduct spot checks and monitor bunker operations to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments on operational issues, claims, discrepancies, or delays.
  • Handle post-fixture operational matters and resolve day-to-day operational challenges.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of operational records.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide timely updates to management.
  • Support emergency response and incident handling when required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, maritime regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain, Marine Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum  2-3 years of relevant experience in bunker operations, shipping operations, tanker operations, or the maritime industry.
  • Familiarity with Singapore port operations and bunker procedures is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of maritime documentation and operational processes.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and operational environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work beyond office hours when operationally required.
