This role requires a high level of independence and accountability while maintaining close collaboration with program stakeholders. The successful candidate will build a strong understanding of both business processes and IT systems to deliver effective, high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
- Collaborate with business users to gather, analyze, and finalize requirements using industry best practices.
- Analyze and document existing business processes and operating models, and propose solutions aligned with target architecture and future business needs.
- Design functional solutions and produce detailed functional specifications in partnership with IT and technical teams.
- Develop clear user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and end-to-end process workflows.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams by translating functional needs into technical requirements.
- Provide domain expertise to support solution definition in collaboration with key business sponsors.
- Facilitate requirement walkthroughs and obtain formal stakeholder sign-off.
Quality Analysis
- Ensure delivered solutions align with business strategy and quality standards.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing.
- Ensure timely delivery of fully tested features and products to production.
- Support UAT planning and execution, including preparation of test strategies, test cases, and coordination with business testers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with multiple user groups to support interface services across financial systems.
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, architects, and subject matter experts to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Contribute to release readiness activities and post-implementation validation.
- Assist in preparing user guides, training materials, and reference documentation.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the corporate finance domain, with a strong focus on IT solution design and delivery.
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of Corporate & Investment Banking products, including Syndications, Participations, Commercial Loans, Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Discounting, and Factoring.
- Hands-on experience across the full SDLC: design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Solid exposure to software engineering best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks and UML modeling.
- Exposure to test automation tools and methodologies.
- Comfortable working with SQL for querying and data analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
QA Technical Knowledge & Capabilities
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience in designing and executing test cases, test scenarios, and validating business workflows.
- Ability to perform basic data validation and troubleshooting using SQL.
- Familiarity with API testing concepts, including request/response validation and integration behavior (hands-on experience is an advantage).
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Xray, and Apache JMeter.
- Understanding of risk-based testing approaches and test coverage analysis.
- Ability to validate data mappings, field-level logic, and system-to-system data flows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage both business and technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced Agile/Scrum environments.
- Working knowledge of process modeling techniques (BPMN/UML preferred).
Added Advantages
- Business Analysis certifications such as ECBA, CBAP, or PMI-PBA.
- Experience in project management or serving in a functional or team lead role.
