We are seeking a result-driven and technically adept Procurement Manager to lead the purchasing operations. The incumbent will oversee the end to end purchasing activities, ensuring high-quality goods and services are acquired cost-effectively and on time.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyse market trends and manage supplier relationships to optimize the supply chain
- Identify reliable suppliers, evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate profitable pricing with favourable contract terms
- Monitor vendor performance by conducting regular audits, and resolve any supply chain disruptions or quality issues
- Develop strategies to reduce procurement costs without sacrificing quality while identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Collaborate with various departments to align purchasing strategies to the company objectives
- Prepare annual budgets and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to report operational health to the management
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, legal regulations and industry standards
Job Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain Management / Business Administration
- At least 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain roles
- Expertise in vendor negotiation, contract management, market analysis and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
- Decisive leadership and strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and good interpersonal skills
- Meticulous, organized and resourceful team player
- Highly motivated individual who works independently with minimal supervision
